Restaurant Schützenhof in Elz

We had good friends heard about good food in the Schützenhof. Ordered a goose, never had such a bad meal. The goose was cut in pieces, but it wasn't a whole goose. The meat was tough. The worst thing we have ever experienced was the sauce, a ready-made sauce. Our family will never again order anything in a restaurant like this .. This restaurant has no idea about cooking ..

We got food there yesterday and it was delicious. Price-performance ich I can only recommend it.

Ordered fried potatoes and got french fries. When asked, they said fried potatoes are out. You can also inform the guest about it. Staff don't look to see if you still have drinks. Unfortunately not convinced.

Food, very tasty, everything fresh and homemade. Service and host are very friendly, extra requests are taken into account. The only negative point: You should only have things on the menu that you have on offer .... Simply revise or update the map.

The food was fantastic, the drinks menu is okay, the location is very cozy, the waitress is nice. Unfortunately, the map is not up to date, so it is basically 4.5 stars. We will be back definitely.

Schnitzel dishes were good, tender meat well breaded and fried in the pan No deep fryer schnitzel. We did not like the corona surcharge of € 1.50 per person. This prevented us from returning there. Didn't appear to us again in our 1 week trip through the Lahn valley

I can not understand the many positive reviews. We have given the whole thing several times - because of the many positive reviews - a chance, unfortunately, it has become worse from time to time. Food has always left something to be desired in terms of taste and quality. The last time we were there, we were almost alone in the restaurant. Service was also a disaster. Nevertheless, long waiting times ....

The first visit was also the last. Empty guest room, bad food and unfriendly staff. In addition, no willingness to make minor changes to the dishes offered, which would have meant little effort.

Today it worked out that we did not have to wait so long. But it was good

Have eaten very delicious, service attentive and very friendly. A nice evening. We will repeat.
